Vision & Robotics Engineer
Are you looking for a job on the intersection of vision and robotics engineering, in making product concepts into real products, in creating exciting software?
This is the opportunity to kick-start your career and become a valued member of our team!
You make the difference
In the position of robotics & vision engineer, you will immediately contribute to the innovation and reliability of our current and next generation robotic systems. We have an intricate interplay between camera, AI vision networks and robotic movements. You will be in the center of that, connecting the dots.
You will based at the location Rijswijk and work together with the current senior vision and robotics engineers. In that team you will be exploring new solutions as well as improve our exiting solutions on the intersection of vision and robotics: taking reliable camera pictures, interpret these pictures with AI, and use the results as guidance for our robotic system. A good communication with the other systems engineers (software and hardware) is a given.
To do this, you;
- Assess, maintain, create and improve on AI networks to interpret the camera images;
- Work with the robot to assess the results;
- Verify the effectiveness in context of the product requirements;
- Help to create a programming framework (in Python or Rust, our two go-to computer languages) to train, deploy, update and renew the vision tools in our software stack, helping operations and commissioning.
Your contribution
In this job, you will:
- Work on camera software to take reliable pictures
- Work on AI and vision pipelines to improve detections in a range of circumstances (dark, light, rain and sun);
- Explore new routes to improve the pipelines;
- Develop and maintain the software stack & tooling around vision and cameras;
- Provide solutions in your area of expertise, in cooperation with the senior vision engineer, for use in our products.
