Blog 3: Back from CES 2025
What a week! The Rocsys team is back from CES in Las Vegas. It was an incredible week of meetings and events with colleagues and industry partners, and we walked away from the experience with new opportunities and insights into the future. Here are some of our big observations from the past week at CES!
Crijn Bouman, CEO and Co-founder
The Future is Electric
No surprises here! Electric vehicles continue to dominate the conversation at all of the vehicle booths at the show. From personal vehicles like the new Honda EVs, to electric tractors, fire engines, and other heavy equipment from John Deere and Oshkosh. CES has been a reliable bellwether to determine which technologies set the stage for the future, and it’s clear that electrification is the future of transportation across the board. At Rocsys, we’re excited to see these industries embrace a cleaner, more sustainable future, and we’re eager to offer our hands-free charging solutions to help these companies and their customers reach new heights of mobility.
A Hands-Free World
Autonomous technology was a constant topic of conversation at the show, with seemingly every manufacturer showcasing the latest developments in self-driving and self-parking vehicles. Major players in the robotaxi industry like Waymo, Zoox and Zeekr were all present, and we spotted a few Motional vehicles cruising down the Strip as well! And it’s not just in the robotaxi industry either – the auto industry is seeing the light of autonomous driving with Toyota, VW spin-off Scout Motors, and numerous technology providers present with new self-driving and driver-assisted systems. John Deere even rolled out their new line of autonomous diesel and full-electric tractors for everyone to check out! While it’s exciting to see this technology take off, there’s still a missing piece that not everyone is seeing: charging. True autonomous electric mobility needs autonomous charging! As more manufacturers embrace a hands-free future of transportation at Rocsys, we’re eager to continue the partnerships and projects that will make true autonomous mobility a reality.
AI for All
AI was a heavy focus at this year’s CES and seemed to be showcased in every hall and in every way, from personal home products to vehicles and entertainment. LG debuted their “Affectionate Intelligence” home systems, and tech giant NVIDIA announced their new AI-powered driver-assisted operating system for self-driving and self-parking vehicles. Given its prevalence across the event, it’s exciting to see how AI will continue to integrate with our daily lives, from our homes, places of business, and on the road. At Rocsys, AI is a crucial component of our technology, with our hardware built around computer vision technology and algorithmic learning to create a reliable and seamless charging process for any vehicle in all weather conditions and environments. We look forward to the latest developments in AI that will assist us in our day-to-day routines, both at home and work.
Viva CES
Since inception, CES has been the bellwether that determines which new innovations will dominate the market in the future. With that in mind, it’s clear that electrification and automation will continue to play an integral role in the future of transportation. As a global leader in the field of autonomous charging, Rocsys is poised to deliver the platform that will unlock true autonomous mobility and allow electrification and automation to continue to shape the way we move around our world.
